29 Weeks and 2 Days!

I like the way some people at work say, "Hey Momma!" to me in the halls....and another coworker always asks, "How are the two of you doing?!" Can't wait to be a mommy! Here is a new belly pic from today (29 weeks and 2 days!) "Mommy" just finished eating dinner so the baby is moving around and tasting the fries! ps...realizing that my shirts are startint to "flare out" at the bottom! Lots of belly stretching going on!

Our due date is April 13th, the day after Easter! Bought our first "baby thing" today....couldn't resist this bib for our little bunny on the way!

29 Weeks...starting 30!

So today is the end of my 29th week!!! Guess this means only 11 weeks left??!!! wow!!! Was just sitting on the couch watching my belly move all around! Definitely have a pronounced belly...with like a high "ridge" like bump....does that make sense?! Still winded, stuffy nose, visiting the bathroom alot more...all of the pregnancy things I have been reading about! Keeping hydrated and moisturized! And keeping Christian up with my continued Star Wars breathing!
Found out the changing table/low dresser is in today. Waiting on one more piece. Will probably go this weekend and pick up the pieces that are already here. Jill sent us some original drawings of sea turtles...have to look over the room and start planning the artwork. Thinking we may just focus on one wall. Getting ready for bed...just "fed" the baby some lentil soup! Have to take a new belly pic tomorrow. Work has been kind of crazy so by the time I get home, I'm ready to crash...but I'll find the time : )

Getting Ready for Another Day of Organizing...

So most of the stuff made it into piles around the apartment. Have to go and get clear tubs for storage today. Will probably head over to Buy Buy Baby to see the status of our nursery furniture delivery too when we "head up North" by the mall. They say it could take 8-14 weeks and we are almost at that point! We were able to use current Bed Bath and Beyond coupons(20%off)at BBBaby when we got the furniture...you can actually use them for any purchase there. Good to know for down the road!

Realizing that I am really close to the due date....can't believe it. Also can't picture Christian and I not being "two" anymore....so many changes, I'm sure I can't even imagine what life will be like. Just excited to see our little one.

Set up my final appt to visit another daycare by my work. Going at the beginning of February. Will probably choose one of the two that we visited by my work. Coworkers use them both and have all good things to say, so that is comforting. G&G Santoro are booked for Mondays when I go back to work too for little Forie. Both families are so excited for the new arrival...we have a ton of support (and babysitters!) all around! hehehehehehehehe!!!!

Time to organize!

So Christian and I keep saying we "have to organize" the closets to get ready for the baby...and I guess today was the day. Ugh. We actually have nice closet space but the shelving is kinda weird, so we have to really place and organize properly. So that was our big event for today!! Made alot of lists of what we need to "put stuff in"....moved alot of stuff around....threw out alot of stuff.....donating stuff....stuff,stuff,stuff......well at least we are moving forward! Its exciting to envision cuddly baby things in the closets instead of our random storage!
Also made my dad's red lentil soup this morning...was up at 7:45 for no reason so figured I'd do something productive! Dropped some off at Jess' house (feel better jess!) too. While I was out, christian was getting me a prenatal yoga dvd, so maybe he and i will do some stretching today!hmmmmmmm...we'll see!
Resting right now with my feet up...gotta love preggo swelling! (Is that TMI?!)Better start thinking about dinner....will report back later! love, bridget

Morning : )

Morning Everyone! Was up early this morning and thought I would check in. Have to post my new belly shot today. Went to buybuybaby last night and picked up a Snuggle Pillow for me to sleep with. Its like a huge letter "c" that you can rest your head and legs on, with some back support. Didn't sleep well the night before, so looking for some relief. Christian keeps saying I sound like Darth Vadar (is that how you spell it?) bc I go from side to side all night, then wind up on my back breathing loudly through my mouth and waking him up.....not being able to sleep on my belly is tough for me bc thats what I usually do.

Think the baby is waking up too this morning, lots of moving around! I can def feel that the baby is larger now bc the movements happen across the belly more, and not just in one little spot. More prominent movements on my right side, so it must be comfy there. And that is def where I feel more pressure and "belly extension" taking place, woooohooooo...my belly is stretching ; )

Went out on Friday with the Macks to a Polar Bear Happy Hour....had some awesome cranberry and club soda! Felt like all eyes were on the preggo lady at a bar...so sad!
Saw Grandmas and Grandpas yesterday...made a pitstop at the Santoro house then had dinner with G&G Forie! Yummy food and they let me take the leftovers home!! Gotta feed the pregnant lady!!!
Excited about more food today....going to a Vegan Meet-up with the mom and dad at Green Melody in Hicksville. So yummmmy! It will be nice to eat together and point out all the weirdo vegetarians we see....obviously we will be the most normal there ; )
Called buybuybaby yesterday and checked on the nursery furniture....not in yet. But, they did say 8-14 weeks, so there is still some time. Its only been 8 weeks.....getting anxious though to start setting up the nursery.
Taking it easy this weekend after a crazy week at school....organized and ran a huge assembly at my school (1000+ attend) for MLK day. Its alot of fun to meet more kids in the building, but it was alot of work this year. It was a huge success so that was nice. I usually come home and have a drink, but eating icecream was the alternate plan this time!
Still no girls name picked...and realizing that the due date is in about three months. That's insane! Can't wait to meet little Forie!!!

Fighting off a sore throat....

took it kinda easy this weekend....fighting off a sore throat. I don't think its going to get worse so that makes me happy. Keep thinking about my decision to not get the flu shot and hoping that I don't regret it. But, I've never gotten it before, so was not about to start shooting things into me for the first time while I'm pregnant. The Dr. said it would be fine, but no need to experiment. Slept all day while Christian went out to watch the Giants with Anthony (sorry that they lost). Just been sleeping and eating all day....feeding the cold ; ) Should be fine for the upcoming school week. Have a ton to do with my assembly on Friday that I organize. Have two afterschool practices that I'm not looking forward to. At least I have a three day weekend next week to relax.
After Christian and I headed out to do tons of reorganizational shopping yesterday for the closets, all we came home with was a bar to hang baby clothes on! We realized that we don't know what we'll need to put into the closet yet, so we want to wait. We do have to clean them out and organize, but aren't going to buy anything major yet. May need to add one shelf in the meantime.
Well, off to have another cup of hot tea, lemon, and honey. Been watching "Principals Office" on TruTV (channel 58 here)...its real principal's handling situations all day. I just learned that corporal punishment is still alive and kicking in a bunch of states in the US....can you believe that! This principal paddled HS students! Creepy to say the least....anywhoo...going to watch that! Creepy, yet addicting to watch!
Oh yeah, had a craaaazy dream about the baby last night.....don't even know if I should share.....its the second one I've had where the baby kind of "morphs" out of my belly and is "born". Last night it happened again...won't get into all the details, but in the end the baby was born.....a beautiful girl.....and all I kept saying was "Connor was right!...and We don't have a name picked! and....its too early to leave work, I didn't do any lesson plans yet!" Guess I have alot on my mind...so the crazy dreams are to be expected!

26 weeks and 4 days....

Hey Everyone! Just a few more updates....think I may be fighting off a sore throat this morning, so not happy about that : (
Dr. went well the other day and all seems on track. Going in a few weeks for a Level I Sonogram that measures the baby and sees its position. My glucose test came back fine so I am all clear there!
Still searching for a girl's name.....ugh! All the ones I like are taken by people I know! You all have such pretty names : )
Did our first webcam with Connor the other night! He is getting soooo big! Its amazing that he knows us know so well. He was showing us his matchbox cars (Aunt BB's is the white one and Uncle Chris has the blue Hummer Truck)...he was kissing the belly on the webcam and blowing kisses to us. So in love with that little guy!

Heading out today to do some "baby preparation errands"....Home Depot for closet organization, maybe browse some books at Borders for mural ideas, and then of course get a Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Twist! (Unfortunately, I found out that you can order it any time during the year, so now I will be forced to continually order them in the cold weather!I'm addicted! AND jeanette got me my own PMT (peppermint mocha twist) kit for home so I'm all set!)

Had a huge amazing sundae from Baskin Robbins last night...thank you to Christian for going out in the cold to accomodate my preggo "needs" (or just plain "wants"!)

Felt a HUGE foot movement this morning....made me cry...so amazing!

Belly is really looking big lately...definitely a little one in there! Here is a picture from yesterday....26 weeks and 4 days!

Lots of Movement!!!

Two days into the third trimester!!!!! Have a dr appt tomorrow too : )

Today the baby was moving alot at work....bopping around! Tonight, Christian and I saw real movement across my belly! Jumps and moving!Mostly on the right side. I even felt parts of the body move while touching my belly...so amazing. I expect it will probably even get to be more as time moves on.....can't wait to see "feet sticking out" like I've heard from alot of pregnant ladies!
Today was kind of a tiresome day at work, alot going on. Realizing that I don't have the energy to keep "going going going" and need to hydrate alot more. Christian and I got out for a walk on the beach over the weekend, and would love to do that more...if I could "rally"....he's pretty good at getting me going...but its hard. Its like a Catch 22, tired but will feel better if I exercise...but too tired to exercise! Lauren left a comment about enjoying the time he and I have as "two" in the next few months. Its definitely something I am going to be aware of. We had a "date night" over the weekend, seeing a movie and going out to dinner. It was so nice and relaxing....strange to think that we will be "three" soon.
Ok, rambling on because I should be in bed, but enjoying sitting here and feeling the movement! Trying to figure out which body part I am feeling! My dad and Christian reminded me that we may be able to record the heartbeat and post it. Maybe will try that over the weekend. (Did I post that already?!) Thanks for reading....till next time : )

Third Trimester!!!!

Believe it or not, tomorrow starts the first day of my 3rd Trimester!!!!!!!! I am finished with 26 weeks today! Just thought I'd write a few random updates:

*Been feeling alot of movement the last few days. Things slowed down at the end of last week, but then there was a surge over the weekend. Not just "kicking" but more like moving and body parts! Especially last night when I was on my side. Most of the moving happens on the right side of my belly which is interesting. Wondering if thats where the legs like to hang out?! Read that the baby is around 15 inches long from toe to head. That's crazy!

*Used Jeanette and Dan's fetal heartbeat monitor the other night again. This time Christian and I were able to hear the beat loud and clear. It was amazing! When we first tried it, it was sort of a low murmur, but now it is going strong! The pregnancy updates that I read say that the baby can hear the "mom and dad's" conversations and talking now : ) Hope the baby likes classic rock because it is going to be going to the Fleetwood Mac concert in March!!!!! Starting him/her young!

*As most of you know, Christian and I "shook" on a boy's name....but only "half shook" on a girl's name. Still searching for a girl's name .....

*Saw Connor alot this past week and he was giving tons of kisses to my belly for the "baby"! I asked him if he thought I was having a "boy or girl" and he clearly said "GIRL". BUT, then Christian said, "will it be a girl or boy?" and he clearly said "BOY"....so we all realized he was just saying the last word we all said! He'll be right either way...he is so smart : )

*Got a beautiful handmade baby blanket from a coworker today. His 92 year old Mother-in-law made it. It is just gorgeous! Cannot wait to get the nursery set up! Speaking of which....we have to start organizing our closets and getting things in order. Another "next step" is to talk about painting in the baby's room for our underwater theme.

*Wondering if the "pregnancy" brain is for real....hoping so because I keep losing my gloves.

*Have a doctor check-up this Thursday. Will probably ask again about pediatrician names and start that next task. We are all signed up for birthing and breastfeeding classes in March. It's going to be a jam packed month with the shower, Fleetwood Mac, all the classes, and getting ready for my maternity leave. Have to start preparing lesson plans and my classroom for my "departure"!

Well, think that is it for now....been feeling the baby move below my belly button while typing : ) Ate tons for dinner, but am thinking I am ready for round two (ok, maybe three!)...then either a homemade Peppermint Mocha Twist (decaf) or some ice cream...or both! So tired tonight. After a long and wonderful vacation, Christian and I headed back to work today, rising at 5:45am! Then ran around school because I am organizing a school assembly next week for Martin Luther King Jr. Its a huge task that I "volunteered" for years ago....Thanks for reading...if you made it this far! Off to eat! Love, Bridget

Welcome 2009...."The Year of Baby Forie"!!!!

Celebrated NYE with our "new" neighbors, Jess and Josh Mack! Went out for some dinner at Nick D'Angelos (where my shower will be!)...then headed back to the new Mack home for some yummy desserts and sparkling cider for me!!! Excited to welcome in the new year, with only 4 months until the big event!!!!! Feel like I look really "preggo" in these pics with the big round belly...but I hear that this is just the beginning! Wishing everyone a wonderful new year filled with amazing moments! Love you!!! PS...had to include the pic of Dick Clark!

The Two Pregnant Ladies!!

Along with Christian and I, our friends Ann Marie and Anthony are going to be First Time Parents in April of 2009! We celebrated the arriving New Year this past week : )

Also got to see Anna this week!!! We hit a German restaurant on Rt 110 for some yummy food! Anna has been so awesome with "hooking" me up with some baby clothes....if I have a girl, I will def be all set! It is always wonderful to have girl's night, and especially now we can share pregnancy experiences : ) She has two beautiful children of her own, Sophia and Luke, so she has alot of information to share. Thanks, Anna, for the awesome night out! (ps...we even bumped into Debbie and Roman, from our volleyball team! Hope they had fun in VT!)
