Believe it or not, tomorrow starts the first day of my 3rd Trimester!!!!!!!! I am finished with 26 weeks today! Just thought I'd write a few random updates:
*Been feeling alot of movement the last few days. Things slowed down at the end of last week, but then there was a surge over the weekend. Not just "kicking" but more like moving and body parts! Especially last night when I was on my side. Most of the moving happens on the right side of my belly which is interesting. Wondering if thats where the legs like to hang out?! Read that the baby is around 15 inches long from toe to head. That's crazy!
*Used Jeanette and Dan's fetal heartbeat monitor the other night again. This time Christian and I were able to hear the beat loud and clear. It was amazing! When we first tried it, it was sort of a low murmur, but now it is going strong! The pregnancy updates that I read say that the baby can hear the "mom and dad's" conversations and talking now : ) Hope the baby likes classic rock because it is going to be going to the Fleetwood Mac concert in March!!!!! Starting him/her young!
*As most of you know, Christian and I "shook" on a boy's name....but only "half shook" on a girl's name. Still searching for a girl's name .....
*Saw Connor alot this past week and he was giving tons of kisses to my belly for the "baby"! I asked him if he thought I was having a "boy or girl" and he clearly said "GIRL". BUT, then Christian said, "will it be a girl or boy?" and he clearly said "BOY"....so we all realized he was just saying the last word we all said! He'll be right either way...he is so smart : )
*Got a beautiful handmade baby blanket from a coworker today. His 92 year old Mother-in-law made it. It is just gorgeous! Cannot wait to get the nursery set up! Speaking of which....we have to start organizing our closets and getting things in order. Another "next step" is to talk about painting in the baby's room for our underwater theme.
*Wondering if the "pregnancy" brain is for real....hoping so because I keep losing my gloves.
*Have a doctor check-up this Thursday. Will probably ask again about pediatrician names and start that next task. We are all signed up for birthing and breastfeeding classes in March. It's going to be a jam packed month with the shower, Fleetwood Mac, all the classes, and getting ready for my maternity leave. Have to start preparing lesson plans and my classroom for my "departure"!
Well, think that is it for now....been feeling the baby move below my belly button while typing : ) Ate tons for dinner, but am thinking I am ready for round two (ok, maybe three!)...then either a homemade Peppermint Mocha Twist (decaf) or some ice cream...or both! So tired tonight. After a long and wonderful vacation, Christian and I headed back to work today, rising at 5:45am! Then ran around school because I am organizing a school assembly next week for Martin Luther King Jr. Its a huge task that I "volunteered" for years ago....Thanks for reading...if you made it this far! Off to eat! Love, Bridget

Wow, your blog is chock full of exciting news with each post! How do you find the time to write with all the events and eating in your life? It's thrilling to hear there is at least a "half-shake" on the girl's name...makin' progress!
I stole your group photo from New Year's Eve for a new Wallpaper on my monitor.BTW-can you also record the sounds of the baby when you use that device for listening?
Love you guys, I'll check in again soon,
Dio
We actually can record the heartbeat...forgot about that!! Thanks for reading it all dad : ) Love you!

I think you are at the best stage of pregnancy now, well really each stage has its own perks. But now every where you go people will notice your belly. i remember feeling someone looking at me while I was on line in Target and then looked to my right and there was an old lady staring at my belly smiling.
It seems like you guys are really enjoying this pregnancy and I hope you take time to enjoy just the two of you also. I know that when I went past my due date James and I kept doing things like going out for lunch or taking a walk. The walks were mostly in the hope of starting labor but it was still nice to just spend some time alone with him before we became 3! I kind of wish we did it more throughout the pregnancy. Every time we would go out to eat I would say this could be the last time we eat out before we are parents. And since I was 12 days late I said that more than once!
Anyway love you guys and it was great to see you and the belly at Aunt Jeanne's. Stay well and can't wait for the shower!!!
Much love,
Lauren
That was so much fun to read. Reminded me that we have to start the planning, again, for the mural. Have you decided on an underwater scene? I have lots of samples of those cute turtles. Got to get our creative minds working. Hey, wait this isn't your E-mail address, Bridget. So....Hi everyone. Don't those peppermint candies sound delicious? Love, Mom Santoro
What a great post! I agree with Lauren that this is the best time...it starts getting very "real" and the excitement just intensifies as the day gets closer!
So cool that you can record the heartbeat, I didn't know that! I'm really glad you guys have had that device work for you, we didn't have any luck at all. I'd love to hear the heartbeat if you record it!
Good luck with the MLK assembly, I know that's always a huge undertaking for you. Take it easy and don't be afraid to delegate!
Love you both so much. Webcam last night rocked. Connor was screaming with excitement to see you. :D
XOXO
Give the belly a kiss from us
